With humble prayer I beseche The,
That his scripture shall here or see,
To say De Profundos, if thou letter’d be,
For ye saules of Jane, my wiefe, and me,
Thomas Middletone, sometymes man of lawe,
Under this stone are laid full lawe.
Yf thou be unlerned and cannot reed
For our soules and all Christen sowles med,
Say a Pater Noster and a Crede
