Swete ihesu hwat was thy gylt
to suffre so moche wo for me
Thy body to harde panys I put
and al to drawe up on a tree
ffeet and hondys I naylyd fast
ihesu thy paynys weryn smert
At ȝet for me were at the laste
wyth spere I stonge to the hert
Swete ihesu harde were thy paynys
that thow on cros me sufferyst sore
that I the haue gylt a ȝens
for ȝeue me lord I nel no more
