Sore y sye & sore I may
for þre þynges me comys alday
Þe ton is þat I shal hen
þe toþer is wot not when
þe þrydde is my most care
I not wheder I shal fare
Note: Written three long lines, two verse lines for each, translating ‘Sunt tria que vere faciunt me sepe dolere…’, which follows.
