Transcription:
O ye pylgrymes that hereby make your passage
Praye ye for John Fuyst and Katerine his wyffe,
That of this lyff have endyde the pilgrymage,
And that XIIII childerne hadene with pesyble lyffe;
VIIII sonnes, VI dowtres, in maryage, withouten stryffe
And five tymes was Meyre of this cytie;
That as a marchaunt ledde a worthy lyffe,
And honourably ruled hit in prosperytee,
That hence decessyed as we all shall unmightie,
In the year of grace, from Chrystes incarnacion
A MCCCC with V and ffyfty, the 19th daie
Of September made her mutacion,
From erthe to Hevyn have changed habytacion.
With a paternoster and an ave praye it may soe be
To resseyve joye for her endless salvacion
Eternally to prayse.
